
Isabela’s Dy racks up significant bills in 19th Congress
ISABELA 6th District Rep. Faustino “Inno” Dy V has filed several bills in the 19th congress for sectors in agriculture, environment, health, tourism, youth and the barangay sector.
At the end of the first regular session of the 19th congress, Dy, chairman of the House special committee on bases conversion, said some of these bills he has authored include House Bill (HB) No. 1141 or Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso Act, HB 1136 or Cagayan River Basin Development Authority, HB 1204 or Magna Carta for Barangays and HB 1139 or Use of Health Star Rating System.
Meanwhile, as chairman of the panel, they are now deliberating on the different policies on bases conversion and special economic zones intended to help in the country’s economic development.
The committee has already approved the committee report on the substitute bill that seeks to strengthen the charter of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
The Isabela lawmaker also reported that he has filed measures for the 6th congressional district which includes; the creation of Isabela 6th District Engineering Office and Isabela Tourism Council and a house resolution seeking for an investigation on problems and complaints against ISELCO-I.
Dt said that his programs on medical, financial, educational and livelihood in cooperation with the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Labor and Employment have extended assistance for almost 20,000 beneficiaries in 2022 and more than 8,000 as of May 29. 2023.
For the year 2023, the second termer congressman added that he is pushing for several infrastructure projects in his district which includes; 48 Roads, 4 Bridges, 14 Flood Control Structures, 27 Multi-Purpose Buildings, 4 Solar Water Systems and 10 Farm-to-Market Roads.
Dy also serves as vice chairperson and as member in various committees in the House of Representatives, including the House committees on rules, appropriations, and tourism.
