
Imus launches ‘Sa Booster, Pinaslakas’
IMUS CITY, Cavite – Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Lilibeth David and Imus City Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula led the “Sa Booster, PinasLakas” held at EMI-Yazaki, EDS Manufacturing, Incorporated along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Anabu II-A here, Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
With the new administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and the directives on the COVID-19 vaccination targets and strategies for the first 100 days, the DOH Centers for Health Development launched the “Sa Booster, Pinaslakas” campaign to highlight the importance of unified strength in achieving the booster targets.
The Pinaslakas booster campaign envisions the majority of the boosted population being protected against severe effects and mortality from COVID-19 by October 2022.
“Two years ago, napakahirap po magkaroon ng Covid vaccines, ngayon po marami tayong vaccine stocks kaya magpabakuna na po tayo ngayon ng Booster 1 and Booster 2 para sa mga senior citizens and [individuals with comorbidity],” Mayor Advincula said in his welcome message to Yazaki employees, DOH officials, and participants.
Present at the booster vaccination drive were the (Department of the Interior and Local Government) DILG Regional Director Ariel Iglesia, Director Exequiel De Guzman of DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) R4-A, Director Tereso Panga of Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Nobihiro Kato, president of EDS Manufacturing Company, Dr. Carla Orozco of Unicef, Dr. Graham Harrison of World Health Organization (WHO), and Ardel Hipolito of Relief International.
“Importante po ito para sa atin bayan, para sa ating edukasyon, para sa ating ekonomiya at sa bawat isang Filipino. Dito pinapakita ng ating pamahalaan na hindi tayo napapagod at hindi nahinto upang manalo kontra COVID-19,” said DOH Usec. Lilibeth David.
“Warm thanks from the management of EMI for choosing our company for your launching of booster campaign,” EDS Manufacturing Company president Kato said in gratitude.
