A House leader lauded the recent OCTA research survey showing that 31 percent of Filipinos support the administration of President Marcos Jr. while only 4 percent are backing the opposition.

Senior Deputy Speaker Pampanga Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales said the gains of the Marcos administration in prioritizing the welfare of Filipinos can be gleaned in the support indicated in the OCTA Research survey, which also showed only 20 percent of Filipinos support the Duterte family and their allies.

“We welcome the survey result that says President Marcos Jr. enjoys the support of a large part of the population. Ibig lang sabihin nito ay nararamdaman ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino ang mga programang ipinatutupad ng pamahalaan para sa kapakanan ng ating mga kababayan,” Gonzales said in a statement.

He said the House of Representatives, under the leadership of Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, will continue to support the legislative agenda of President Marcos Jr. and will continue to find ways to respond to the challenges of the Chief Executive of bringing government services closer to the people.

“Kaya kami dito sa Kongreso, buo ang aming suporta sa lahat ng programa ng ating mahal na Pangulo. Halos natapos na namin ang mga priority legislation niya na kanyang sinabi sa LEDAC at sa kanyang dalawang nakaraang SONA,” Gonzales said.

“I believe this show of support for President Marcos Jr. will only encourage his administration and us here at the House to tirelessly work for the welfare of Filipinos and the nation. Nakita naman natin ang sipag ng ating Pangulo sa pagkalap ng investments mula sa ibang bansa. Hindi siya tumitigil,” he added.
