Honor saints and dearly departed — Speaker
SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez has called on Filipinos this All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to honor the legacy of saints and departed loved ones by fostering unity and compassion to build a stronger, more caring Philippines.
“As we come together on this sacred occasion of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, let us pause to honor the saints and the loved ones who have touched our lives, those whose spirit and memory continue to inspire us long after they have gone,” Romualdez said.
“These days remind us that while they may no longer be with us, their values, love, and courage remain, guiding us forward,” he added.
According to the House leader, each candle lit and prayer offered is a way to remember lives that have made a lasting impact as he urged everyone to continue their legacy through kindness and unity.
“Each candle we light, every prayer we offer, is a tribute to lives that have left a lasting mark on our hearts,” Romualdez said.
“Let us carry their legacy forward, embracing their kindness and unity, and let us be beacons of hope for each other. In their memory, let us lift one another and create a stronger, more compassionate Philippines,” he added.
Reflecting on the significance of these days, Speaker Romualdez encouraged Filipinos to use this remembrance as a source of strength for the future.
“This time of remembrance is not only about honoring the past but about drawing strength from it to build a future worthy of their dreams,” the Speaker said.
“May the light of those we honor today guide our every step, and may we, as one people, continue their legacy of love, faith, and resilience,” he added.
