Hogtied man found on Batangas road
AN unidentified man was found lying dead on the street by a resident in Bgy. Banaba, San Pascual, Batangas, the other day.
San Pascual Municipal Police Station (MPS) case investigators PCMS Francisco Gabarda Bonado Jr. and PSSg. Rexon Marasigan Andal said the male cadaver was more or less 20 years old, 5 feet in height, small body built, and wearing a colored peach short, both arms hogtied with a phone charger cord and his whole face covered with a red T-shirt.
A concerned citizen reported the incident to the police at 8:05 a.m.
According to a witness, a tricycle driver, and a resident of Bgy. Padre Castillo, San Pascual, said at about 8:05 a.m., he spotted the half-naked victim lying unconsciously beside the road.
Based on the initial investigation, the victim was purely dumped at the said place and there is no sign of injury inflicted to the body of the victim.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) processed the scene while the cadaver was brought to SOL Funeral Home, in Bgy. Natunuan San Jose and for the autopsy to be conducted by P/Maj. Pete Malianao, from Batangas Police Medico-legal.
A follow-up investigation is being conducted by the San Pascual MPS and in coordination with Bgy. officials to review available CCTV (closed-circuit television) footage to gather more information.
