GABBI Garcia portrays one of the most challenging roles she has ever played in this Saturday’s unforgettable episode of the real life drama anthology, “Magpakailanman or MPK”.

Gabbi“(Sa story) ako po si Pia, anak po ako ni Ms. Cherie Gil who plays Magda,” she says. “It’s an honor po na makatrabaho ko si Ms. Cherie as I really respect her calibre as one of our most intense actresses in the business. I had to make sure I’m always on my toes and give my best in all our scenes together nang hindi niya ako basta mapag-iwanan dahil sa husay niya.”

In the story, Cherie and Gabbi are both mired and suffering in utter poverty. Cherie is up to her neck with debts and her creditors are all running after her. In her desire to earn some money, she makes a Gabbi a prostitute who she offers to different men.

“Isa mga naging costumer ko is Sir Leo Martinez as Don Ramon, a rich man,” says Gabby. “He’ll offer na igagarahe niya ako at pumayag naman kami ng mother ko kasi he is very nice to our family. He sends me and ang mga kapatid ko to school para maipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral na namin. Hindi na namin pinoproblema pa kunsaan kukunin ang food on our table.”
With Leo as Don Ramon helping her, Gabbi as Pia tries her best to finish her studies as she knows it will be her best investment for a brighter future. But things get very complicated when she gets pregnant and Don Ramon wants her to have the baby aborted because he already has a legitimate wife and kids and he doesn’t want his family to know about him impregnating a much younger girl.

“It will be a big dilemma for me as Pia,” says Gabbi. “Papayag ba ako sa gusto ni Don Ramon na ipalaglag ang bata? Kasi ang feeling ko, kung ipapalaglag ko ang baby ko, magagaya ako sa mismong mother ko na ipinahamak ako, ang sarili niyang anak. Hindi ko nga siya mapatawad dahil sa ginawa niyang iyon sa akin and now, I’m placed in a delicate situation bilang expectant mother. Abangan nyo kung ano ang magiging decision ko kasi ang ganda ng pagkakasulat ng script. Tiyak na madudurog ang puso ng viewers. Maghanda kayo ng tissue dahil tiyak na tutulo ang luha nyo, lalo na when we think na ang nangyari sa akin really happened to an innocent girl in real life.”

The title of their episode is very intriguing, “Ina Ko, Bugaw Ko”. Also starring are Phytos Ramirez, Lindsay de Vera, Gilleth Sandico, Kenneth Paul Cruz, Sean Rose, Citadel Mariano and Mimi Juareza. “MPK” is hosted by Mel Tiangco and seen Saturdays on GMA-7 at 8 PM. Don’t miss it.
