
Female human trafficking victim rescued in Tarlac
TARLAC provincial police director Col. Erwin Sanque reported the rescue on Friday of a Vietnamese woman illegally detained by an alleged gaming firm in Bgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Oscar Pasiwen, personnel of the PNP Women’s and Children’s Protection Center (WCPC) Luzon Field Unit led by PEMS Homer Arcano together with investigator Pat. Maribelle Alvarez, coordinated with Bamban police to rescue the Vietnamese national identified as Ta Thi Luong, working at a gaming in Bgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.
After coordinating with the manager of the gaming firm, the Vietnamese national was turned over to the police for interview and verification.
The operation stemmed from a letter dated September 21, 2022 from ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Philippines Hoang Huy Chung requesting for the victim’s rescue.
The victim was brought to Camp Crame , accompanied by a Bamban MSWD officer
