
Ex-cop in Dacer, Corbito slays falls after 22 years
NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, Major General Jonnel C. Estomo on Thursday announced the arrest of an ex-policeman wanted for the 2000 abduction-slay of public relations Salvador’ Bubby’ Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito.
The official said ex-Senior Police Officer 1 William Reed,57, was tracked down in his hiding place in Barangay Poblacion in Pulilan, Bulacan past 1 p.m. Wednesday by members of the Regional Intelligence Unit 6, the Pulilan Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 3 and the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Group and Regional Intelligence Unit.
Maj. Gen. Estomo said that Reed is a National Level Most Wanted Person carrying a P250,000 reward on his head issued by the Department of Interior and Local Government.
The suspect is the subject of a non-bailable warrant of arrest for double murder issued by Judge Rodolfo Ponferrada of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 41 in connection with the Dacer-Corbito abduction and murder case on November 24, 2000 in Makati City.
The suspect is being held at the NCRPO-RSOG lock-up facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City.
The official commended the policemen who worked hard to track down the suspect after 22 years in hiding.
