Election officer killed in Samar
AN election officer on Thursday was shot dead in Catarman, Northern Samar.
Slain was Lope de Vega acting election officer James Diaz Maghanoy, 42.
The gun attack occurred in Bgy. Somoge, Catarman town at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Maghanoy was traveling on a motorcycle when shot.
He sustained gunshot wounds in the head and body.
The Commission on Elections condemned the killing of Maghanoy.
