
Couple nabbed in Quezon sting, P400K shabu seized
Candelaria, QUEZON — Police operatives on Friday arrested a couple suspected to be bigtime drug peddlers and seized P418,200 worth of shabu in a drug buy-bust at Bgy. Poblacion here.
Quezon police director Col. Joel Villanueva identified the suspects as Jessie Comtemplacion, 39, and his live-in partner Recilyn Supillo, 33, online agent, both residents of Richwood Subd., Bgy. San Jose, San Pablo City, Laguna.
Villanueva said the operation was carried out at 4:30 a.m. by operatives of Candelaria police station under Lt. Col. Arnulfo Selencio.
Selencio said the buy-bust was conducted following reports that the suspects have been supplying big volume of illegal drugs in the town.
After the exchange between the couple and the poseur buyer, Selencio said the operatives quickly accosted the couple who yielded a marked P1,000 bill and four plastic sachets containing 20.5 grams of shabu.
He said the accounting of seized evidence was witnessed by village officials and a media representative.
The suspects were charged with violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Lucena City.
