Clifford defends self from negative comments
AFTER starring in Director Joey Reyes’ Vivamax movie, “Tag-init”, newbie Clifford Pusing now plays the lead role in a new mini-series, “High on Sex 2”, which has started streaming last Sunday, and a new movie, “Bugaw”, which starts streaming on July 7.
“I want to thank Viva for giving me good projects where I get to play challenging roles directed by great directors from whom I really learn more about my craft,” he says. “Ang laki talaga ng tulong nila sa akin, considering wala akong experience sa acting and I’m a second year nursing student who’s a swimmer for our school.”
How is it doing the sexy scenes for his projects? “Okay lang naman po. Siempre, may mga nanghuhusga, my friends say, bakit ka sa Vivamax, puro bold yan, ah. Ako naman, wala akong pakialam sa kanila. They can say what they want, hindi naman sila nagpapakain sa’kin. I’m just thankful nabigyan ako ng ganitong opportunity sa Viva.”
So what is his role in “High on Sex 2”? “I play Paco, the most popular guy in our school kasi magaling akong kumanta at very popular ako online as an influencer. Ako ang nililigawan ng mga babae sa school namin.”
He has bedscenes with Jamilla Obispo as their horny teacher and with Pantaxa discovery Audrey Avila who’s the president of his fans club in school. How was it?
“Yung kay Ms. Jamilla, very challenging kasi I’m 19 and she’s 34 na raw. Siya pong nag-seduce sa’kin at nagawa naman namin nang maayos. Kay Audrey, mas relaxed na po ako.”
How about “Bugaw”, what is his role? “Ate ko po rito si Alexa Ocampo, na ibinubugaw ng sarili naming ama kasi very poor ang family namin. Pero kulang pa po yung kita niya, kaya pumayag na rin akong ibugaw ng Ate ko.”
He is glad to be directed by Yam Laranas in “Bugaw”. “I’ve watched his films so I know magaling siya. Kabado ako nung una, pero sa script reading pa lang, tinutukan na niya ako on how to internalize my role, so I really learned a lot from him, and I wish i can get to work with him again. Unique siyang director kasi siya rin ang cinematographer so ibang iba talaga ang angles niya sa bawat eksena namin.”
In the movie, he gets to have sex with both men and women. “Sa babae, most challenging scene ko is with Ms. Gwen Garci, na older than me but very helpful siya so okay lang ang eksena namin.
Mas challenging yung scene sa kapwa ko lalake kahit walang pinapakita kasi hindi ako sanay. Sabi ko, kakayanin ko ba ito?”
It’s good Jay Manalo was on the set to guide him. “Yes, si Sir Jay Manalo, who plays a corrupt cop in the movie, really helped me a lot. Sir Jay told me: Isipin mong hindi ikaw si Clifford. Ilagay mo sa isip mong ikaw yung character na ginagampanan mo, si Isaac. Pinalakas niya ang loob ko and I told myself, sige, gagawin ko ito nang tama. At nagawa ko naman.”
After “High on Sex 2” and “Bugaw”, Clifford is all set to start shooting a new movie where he’d be directed by Joey Reyes once again.
