CL cops nab illegal ‘cracker manufacturer in Bulacan

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police caught a man allegedly manufacturing firecrackers without a permit in Bocaue, Bulacan.

In a report submitted to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, the Bocaue police was informed that there was an illegal manufacturing of firecrackers in the area.

The police identified the suspect as Edgardo Mendoza, alias “Eddie”, 64, who was nabbed for alleged possession of 700 pieces of no stick kwitis, 500 pieces of Jumbo gold fountain, 28 pieces of unfinished sputnik silver fountain, one piece of 2-layered pagoda and assorted firecracker wrappers with a total estimated market value of P15,700.

The suspect will be charged with violation of RA 7183.

“Our crackdown on illegal manufacturing, using and selling of prohibited firecrackers in Central Luzon is unrelenting. We continue to appeal to the public to report related illegal activities to ensure a safe celebration of the holiday season,” CL top cop Brig. Gen. Pasiwen said.
