Sabi ng Puregold Senior marketing manager na si Ivy Piedad , “When we first launched CinePanalo, we envisioned it to champion Filipino stories, advocate for student filmmakers by providing them with a platform for their dream short films, and elevate the local film scene.”
At ang 25 selected student short film directors will receive a production grant worth P150,000. Seven full-length film grants are to be given this time around, surpassing last year’s six.
“For me to reach my dream which is to make may first ever full-length feature. I started out as a filmmaker making short films here in the City of Bacolod. Stories that evolves around my province of Negros Occidental.
“Last August 20, 2023, I saw a call for entries for Puregold’s CinePanalo Film Festival, we applied and luckily we got accepted to top 15 and after our pitching we are very lucky to be included in the top 6 and the rest I history,” kuwento ni Direk Kurt.
Sabi pa niya, “I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to executive producer of Puregold CinePanalo, Mr. Chris Cahilig, Ms. Ivy Piedad and most especially to Mr. Vincent Co.”
