CIDG-RFU4A nets notorious crime group leader in Calabarzon
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna – The weeklong-intensified anti-criminality operations by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group– Regional Field Unit 4A (Calabarzon) has hauled to jail a notorious crime group boss and other law violators.
The operations were launched from January 25 to 31, this year.
CIDG RFU4A regional chief Col. Marlon Santos said arrested was a crime group leader operating in Calabarzon.
Also nabbed were six members from different crime gangs in the region.
The CIDG regional head said in the 18 operations against loose firearms, 14 search warrants were served , which resulted in the arrest of 18 persons.
Seven voluntarily surrendered their guns while 29 guns were confiscated.
In the campaign against wanted persons, the CIDG- RFU4A jailed three most wanted persons in the regional level, six in the provincial level, four in the city/municipal level and 17 other wanted persons.
Santos added that 71 persons were arrested and 10 cases were filed in the campaign against illegal gambling.
Other law enforcement operations has netted 12 suspects.
