Chinese nat’l nabbed for human trafficking, 2 women rescued

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Two women on Friday were rescued from a Chinese national who is a member of a human trafficking syndicate in a sting in Angeles City.

Angeles City police chief Col. Rommel Batangan said his men conducted an entrapment and rescue operation in Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City resulting in the arrest of Liu Lucao, a Chinese national residing in Angeles City.

The rescued women underwent physical examination before they were turned over to the local Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Lucao, who is now detained at the Angeles City police station 2, will be charged with violation of Republic Act (RA) 9208, or the Anti-Human Trafficking in Persons Act, as amended by RA 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon lauded the Angeles City police for the successful operation.
