OBVIOUSLY acting on the childish, foolish and fake patriotism that have been the mainstay of pro-imperialist forces in the political opposition and even by some of those in his inner circle on the issue of who owns what in the South China/ West Philippine Sea, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte announced last April 28, 2021, the continued patrol of areas there that we have laid claim to.

Repeatedly, since he was elected in 2016, Pres. Duterte stressed that no one in government, him in particular, is ceding any piece of Philippine territory to anybody. And repeatedly too, his assurance has been ignored, deliberately we should add, by brown American zealots who believe that the highest demonstration of Filipino patriotism is for us to die in defense of US strategic interests.

The Nazis have been credited of formulating the dictum that a lie frequently repeated becomes believable as truth. And the bigger the lie being frequently repeated by the conspiring mainstream media, the more believable it becomes.

But let us give the bigger credit to the United States and its fellow warmongers in the/West for making falsehood the foundation of their foreign policy that resulted to millions of death from the jungles and rice paddies of Southeast Asia and Latin America to the deserts of the Middle East.

In the unending brew of lies and intrigues daily being peddled and repeated by the entire Dilawan/Communist alliance and their local trumpeters in the mainstream media as regards the Philippine independent position and actions taken in the SCS/WPS, Pres. Duterte’s “realpolitik” approach does not stand a chance.

We stand fully behind Pres. Duterte in his handling of the contentious issue that is the SCS/WPS, which is, to peacefully resolve the matter thru patient diplomacy the way friends settle their disputes. There is no other approach because all things taken into consideration, we don’t stand a chance, really, against the other claimants.

In short, our diplomatic approach should be minus the harsh language and false pretense to patriotism, false bravery, false use of data and information and delusion of American support that have been the preferred approach by local US minions inside and outside of the government.

Repeatedly, Pres. Duterte has laid down to us the “unpalatable”truth, and this is:

Much as we want to assert our ‘sovereignty’ and ‘sovereign rights’ in some of the areas at the SCS/WPS, we can only actually do so thru a demonstration of our own military might.

And there lies the rub as we should also admit to ourselves. Presently, we are just another neighborhood dog whose noisy barking is worse than our capacity to bite.

As Pres. Duterte also stressed, to believe that America would be there for us when the hour of danger has come– when China, Vietnam and the other claimants decide to challenge us– is not only dangerous but also, foolish. Heck, we would be the laughing stock of Asia.

But still, many deluded Filipinos would rather stick to their childlike bravery and sense of patriotism anchored on US assistance rather than to listen and understand what our own President has said.

Rubbish.
