DRA. Leilani “Lei” Marie Lacuna, younger sister of Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, remains president of the Liga ng mga Barangay.

This will be her second year as Liga ng mga Barangay President after getting the majority vote from 896 chairpersons of the various barangays in the City of Manila. The position will make her again part of the distinguished ex-officio member of the City Council of Manila.

Lacuna has been holding the position since the start of the 12th City Council in July 2022, making her part of the amazing performance of the 12th City Council when it enacted a total of 141 city ordinances and 917 city resolutions as of December 2023.

She is also the chairman of the Committee on Barangay Affairs, even as she sits in other committee memberships.

She principally authored City Ordinance 8976 mandating all barangays within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Manila to create their respective tourism committees, with the help of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM).
