AUTHORITIES arrested a 26-year-old factory worker after a bladed weapon reportedly used in killing his room mate was found in his possession on Monday morning in Quezon City.

The suspect, identified as Joseph Curacha, was held under police custody following tje discoveryof the lifeless body of his room mate and co-worker Jesus Cabaddu.

A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) showed the victim’s death was discovered at about 6:35 a.m., July 5, 2021 at the rented apartment of the victim and the suspect on 57 Rivera Compound, Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.

Investigation showed a certain Joy Domingo went to the rented apartment of the suspect and the victim to collect the money borrowed by the suspect.

When Domingo arrived at the said house she discovered the bloodied body of the victim lying in bed.

The incident was reported to officials of Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon and later to police authorities which resulted to the arrest of the suspect. The bladded weapon used by the suspect was recovered by the apprehending officer.
