BAUERTEK PHILIPPINES WINS INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
Filipino Inventors and Scientists Richard Nixon Gomez and his son Rigel Gomez just recently won 3 GOLD Awards for their invention entries in the E-NNOVATE International Invention & Innovation Summit, held at Krakow, Poland. Their inventions are based on Technical Papers submitted and supported by actual inventions manufactured by BauerTek Farmaceutical Technologies.
E-NNOVATE: International Innovation & Invention Show is an annual event supported by the Polish Government in partnership with the International Federation of Inventors Associations; and was conceptualized to provide a blend the real-world innovation event experience with the virtual world and making it possible for the innovator to reach a larger audience in a very convenient effective and economic way by introducing Virtual Booths alongside the Traditional Booths. E-NNOVATE is not just a platform, it is an ecosystem of like-minded people willing to create a great impact in the innovation space with synergy. Being a digital platform E-NNOVATE has tremendous reach which will propel the innovative ideas to the farthest corners of the world.
The three Gold Medals awarded were for: (1) Black Garlic (Cytotoxic Activity of Phytochemicals from Black Garlic) in collaboration with Mariano Marcos State University headed by Dr. Shirley Agrupis, its University President. It is their brainchild. Inventors Richard and Rigel Gomez assisted in its conversion from a research experiment into a full-blown commercial product. Black Garlic is intended to help patients with nerve disorders as well as those with certain forms of cancer.
(2) CanCur (PhytoCannabinoids to Enhance ECS Receptors) is a highly innovative medical product. It stems from the concept of combining several herbs to form a synergy. The medical properties of THC and CBD (isolated extracts from Cannabis) are enhanced and balanced when combined with Curcumin and Piperine. They form an “entourage effect”, achieving better results with lower doses. CanCur is intended to help patients with epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, anxiety, depression, sleep disorder, and for pain management.
(3) PiCur (The world’s most powerful natural antioxidant) is the world’s most powerful natural antioxidant. It helps stop angio-genesis around the tumor cells and helps induce apoptosis of tumor cells. PiCur has been used by over a hundred thousand patients in the Philippines and nearby countries. Its uses included treatment for breast cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer, and many other common illnesses.
The Philippine Team bested 200+ entries from 25 countries competing for 20 categories. All 3 GOLD awards garnered by the Philippines belong to the PHARMA category. Truly, the Philippines can do more than just repacking and re-labelling for international pharma companies—the Philippines can create and manufacture our own pharmaceutical products that can be at par with, or even better, than other countries.
This year’s event featured 200+ entries from 25 countries, competing in 20 categories, such as: Agriculture and Aquaculture, Energy, Drones and UAV, Pharma, Transport and Logistics, Chemistry, Medicine, Biotechnology and Medical Devices, Nanotechnology, Environment, Healthcare/Fitness, Food Technology, Information Technology, Safety/Security/Protection, Young Inventors, Industry 4.0, Electronics/Robotics/IoT, Education, Zero Waste Technologies, Home and Lifestyle, and Aerospace/Space Technology and Rockets.
