THE Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO), headed by Police Colonel Samson Belmonte, commenced the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration with the theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas; Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, patutunayan!” at Camp Miguel C. Malvar in Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City last March 5.

The occasion centered on a sports fest entitled “Palaro ni Juana 2024”, which was conducted to show the camaraderie and sportsmanship of the female uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the BPPO.

It was followed by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Soroptimist International’s Batangas Downtown (SIBD) represented by Susie Ann Blanco, president, Soroptimist International Batangas Downtown (SIBD), and Joanne Marabe, president-Elect, SIBD, and the giving of cash donation to the Batangas PPO for the month-long celebration of the 2024 National Women’s Month.

Pauline Bondad, District Director, District Director-Elect, President, Soroptimist International Mariverde District, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The program started with the mass singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by an opening prayer.

In her welcome remarks, PMAJ Kermin Amor U. Cabrales, Chief of the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Management Unit (PICTMU), emphasized the importance of continuing to push for change and find their voice amidst the loud echoes that resonate in their senses of Women’s Month.

In the year 1951 female athletes were allowed to feature in only one event.

It shows how Filipino athletes have built up to their male counterparts over the years.

“To the strong and empowered Women of Batangas. PPO Thank you for the unwavering dedication and outstanding service to our community.

Together, let us champion the capabilities of women in shaping a more just and equitable Philippines,” said Belmonte.
