BARMM Interim Chief Minister Ahod B. Ibrahim convened the Regional Peace and Order last June 10, 2023 together with the BARMM Governor’s Caucus (BGC). Pushed by Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan, BGC identified the main cause of the weak law enforcement in the region as the overlapping and unclear mandates of the law enforcement agencies relative to peace mechanisms.
