Another fuel price hike
LOCAL pump prices continue to move up after big and small oil firms announced another fuel price hike effective today, Tuesday.
Independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Total Philippines, Petro Gazz, Unioil and Eastern Petroleum raised their prices of gasoline products by P0.75 per liter and diesel by P0.70 per liter effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday while Clean Fuel also imposed the same price adjustment at 4:01 p.m.
Meanwhile, oil giant Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell implemented the same set of hikes on their gasoline and diesel products and kerosene by P0.70 centavos per liter effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday while Chevron Philippines moved its pump prices by the same increments much earlier at 12:01 a.m.
PTT Philippines Communication Officer Jhay Julian said the continued spiking of international oil prices have caused domestic prices to climb.
