Akyat Bahay member killed in Cavite
GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite–A suspected Akyat Bahay gang member was killed in an encounter with policemen after breaking into a house Thursday in Brgy. Manggahan in this city.
The suspect, identified by Police Lt. Colonel Jose Naparato Jr., the police chief of this city, as Jhon Brix Simpelo, of Sitio Tinungan, Brgy. Manghan, Gen. Trias City, Cavite.
According to a report, the robbery happened at 12:25 a.m. in the house of Paul Aries Villalobos of Brgy. Manggahan, Gen.Trias City.
He stole the victim’s money and valuables. Unknown to him, a CCTV attached to his victim’s house was able to catch the incident, including his face.
A hot pursuit operations led by Police Chief Master Sergeant Jones Casauran, and Police Sergeant Walter Salvador ensued at his residence.
During the police operations, the suspect resisted arrest, thus prompting the police to shoot him dead.
After the shootout, 1 Improvised gun (sumpak) was recovered in his residence.
