Man nabbed for kush ‘delivery’
AFTER receiving a package from a delivery rider containing suspected marijuana (MJ) kush, a 29-year-old man was arrested in an entrapment operation Sunday evening in Valenzuela City.
Elements of Valenzuela Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Doddie Aguirre nabbed Aaron James Bolivar at around 11:30 p.m. after accepting a package from an Angkas rider who delivered the package in front of his house in Barangay Paso De Blas, Valenzuela City.
Earlier, the delivery rider went to the office of SDEU Chief P/Lt. Joel Madregalejo to sought police assistance after he noticed that the package, which he picked up in Sampaloc, Manila, contained suspected marijuana kush which was inserted in a variety of goods.
Upon verification, an entrapment operation was conducted by operatives of SDEU, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.
Police recovered five plastic sachets containing more or less five grams of marijuana kush amounting to P10,000 inside the package which contained a self-sealed paper bag full of cookies and two smartphones.
The recovered marijuana kush was turned over to Northern Police District (NPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis while the suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office for a case of violation of Section II, Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
