Tingog boosts morale of Leyte elderly
Tingog nominee Karla Estrada distributes wheelchairs to seniors
BURAUEN, Leyte – TINGOG Party-list nominee and actress-singer Karla “Mamshie” Estrada has spearheaded the donation of brand-new wheelchairs here to boost the morale of elderly residents by improving their mobility.
The distribution of wheelchairs by Tingog Party-list group led by Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, chairperson of the House Committee on the Welfare of Children, has always been its mission as it gives inspiration and possible job opportunities to beneficiaries despite their physical handicap.
The Tingog Party-list group underscored the importance to pursue community support services and programs aimed at providing convenience and improving the mobility of people with physical impairment.
In her short speech, Estrada, the proud mother of actor and recording artist Daniel Padilla, expressed deep gratitude to the Burawanons for their continued support to Tingog Party-list.
Anecita Sernal, a 92-year old beneficiary, emotionally thanked Tingog for giving her a wheelchair that will improve her mobility.
At the same time, Estrada paid a courtesy visit to Burauen, Leyte Mayor Juanito Renomeron, Jr. who expressed his deep appreciation for Tingog’s assistance to his constituents and the elderly sector.
Renomeron said his constituents have been very appreciative of Tingog’s programs especially during this pandemic.
