Digos City, Davao del Sur — Senatorial bet Manny Pacquiao secured a major political boost in his senatorial comeback bid as he gained the endorsement of Davao del Sur 1st District Representative John Tracy Cagas during a unity meeting in Digos City.

Congressman Cagas, a key political figure in the province, vowed to deliver a solid vote for Pacquiao, praising the boxing legend’s heart for the poor and his track record of service.

“Manny Pacquiao is not just a champion in the ring, he is a champion for the people. Davao del Sur stands behind him because we know he fights for the masses,” said Cagas.

Pacquiao, who has been visiting Mindanao provinces as part of his continuing Mindanao leg senatorial campaign, thanked Cagas and local leaders for their trust and support.

Pacquiao emphasized his commitment to push for more infrastructure, livelihood, and youth development programs in Davao del Sur.

“Balik serbisyo tayo. Hindi ako nang-iiwan sa laban, lalo na para sa mga probinsya para mas marinig sa Senado,” Pacquiao said.

With Davao del Sur now showing strong support, Pacquiao’s Mindanao base continues to firm up as he mounts a strong grassroots-driven return to the national stage.
