Isko new Partido Aksyon Demokratiko president
MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno is now the new president of the Partido Aksyon Demokratiko during a party meeting held Tuesday night.
This was confirmed by Ernest Ramel, chairman of the said party, who said that “we saw in Yorme someone with a clean track record, tangible accomplishments, and a vision that the party shares.”
“We are confident that he will be able to help lead the party in its thrust to be a unifying force in an atmosphere of heavy political polarization,” dagdag ni Ramel added.
It was learned that Moreno’s installation as party president came about during a meeting of the party attended by Sonia Roco, co-founder of Aksyon Demokratiko.
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto will retain his post as Executive Vice President while Mayor Andres Lacson of Tarlac is now the new Vice Chairman of the paty.
The other officials named were Ramel as Chairman, former National Youth Commission Chair Leon Flores III as Secretary-General, Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna as Vice President for Internal Affairs and Atty. Bobbit Roco as VP for External Affairs.
