Filipino gunner Martinez powers Waves

The Phuket Waves picked up their third straight win in the Thailand Basketball League (TBL), posting an intense 96-93 win over the Ban Bueng Devil Rays at the Multipurpose Building, Office of The Permanent Secretary for Defence.
Riding high on back-to-back victories over the Pathum Thani Pythons and Khon Kaen Kings MFT Fruitmasters, the Waves kept their composure under grinding pressure to chalk up their seventh win against two losses.
Phuket Waves playing coach James Martinez once again displayed his all-around brilliance as he put up a double-double performance of 18 points, 14 assists, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Morakinyo Michael William, whose outstanding efforts were instrumental in the Waves’ stunning victory with 30 points and 14 rebounds.
Raymond Edward Miller contributed significantly with 22 points and an impressive 22 rebounds.
Hernal Esconio contributed with 16 points and 12 rebounds for Phuket.
Ban Bueng Devil Rays fought gallantly and put up a commendable performance.
Toby Thai Sathitsumpan led the charge for the Devil Rays with 34 points, Ali Tew added 20 points and 20 rebounds and Ervin Lorenzo contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.
