Julian Felipe birth anniversary
The Cavite City LGU (local government unit) led by Mayor Denver Chua offers a wreath at the monument of Julian Felipe, composer of the national anthem ‘Lupang Hinirang’ on his 162nd birth anniversary, Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, in Santa Cruz, Cavite City. Felipe was born on Jan. 28, 1861 and died on Oct. 2, 1944; his birth anniversary was declared a non-working special public holiday in the said LGU by Republic Act 7805, approved on July 26, 1993.
