DOH-CHD unveils addt’l STRH 4-storey building
BACOOR CITY, Cavite – The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) together with Bacoor City local government unit (LGU), and Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) in Bacoor City inaugurated the new Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) Building Five, January 17, 2021 at the hospital grounds in Barangay Habay II in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The unveiling was led by Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Department of Health (DOH) OIC-Secretary Usec. Rosario S. Vergeire, Cavite Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” C. Remulla Jr., Bacoor City Mayor Strike B. Revilla City, Cavite 2nd District Congresswoman Lani M. Revilla, and Dr. Ariel I. Valencia, MD, MPH, CESO III regional director.
The new STRH building will house the administrative section that includes: Cashier Section, Billing Section, PhilHealth, Information Area, Admitting Section, Medical Records, Malasakit Section, and the seven wards with four beds each.
The new STRH’s building 5 is a 4-storey building funded under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP).
Presently, STRH is a 100-bed capacity Level II hospital. Through House Bill (HB) No. 2534, STRH will increase its bed capacity to a level III hospital with a 300-bed capacity to accommodate higher patient volume once approved.
