4 killed in Ecija drug stings

CABANATUAN CITY — Four suspected drug traffickers were killed in separate gunbattles after resisting arrest during operations conducted in this city and in San Jose City on Monday night.

In this city, neutralized were Dominic Yabut, of Bgy. Bantug Norte, and Jesus Pelmoka, of Bgy. Aduas Centro, all of this city.

City police chief Lt. Col. Barnard Danie Dasugo said the gunfight erupted in Purok 1 Bgy. Dalampang at 6:30 p.m. after the two suspects sold P500 worth of shabu to undercover operatives.

Dasugo added the suspects became hostile and engaged his men in a firefight resulting in their instantaneous deaths.

Recovered were the two suspects’ weapons- a .38 caliber and a .45 caliber, along with a plastic sachet with suspect shabu worth P476 and their black Kawasaki Bajaj tricycle.

San Jose City police head Lt. Col. Criselda De Guzman said two suspected drug dealers were also killed during a buy bust in Sitio Cumabol, Bgy. Caanawan, San Jose City at 9:20 p.m.

Slain were John Patrick Lozano, alias JP, and Christian De Jesus, both of Paniqui, Tarlac. Both suspects resisted arrest and chose to fight off her men triggering a gunfight.

Recovered were two .38 caliber revolvers, seven slugs for a cal.9mm, a plastic sachet with five grams of suspectes shabu worth P34,000, a gray Yamaha NMAX motorcycle and two helmets.
