4 HVIs nabbed, P3.4M shabu seized in Taguig
JOINT forces of Southern Police District (SPD) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 4-A, and Taguig City Police seized more than P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of four high-value individuals (HVIs) in a buy-bust operation Wednesday afternoon in Taguig City.
SPD Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said four suspects, all residents of Bgy. Western Bicutan were arrested at around 5:00 p.m. at Sunshine Mall Parking Lot, Arca South, Western Bicutan after they conspired to sell illegal drugs to an undercover cop.
Macaraeg said one of the suspects, who is the subject of the drug sting operation, was involved in the proliferation of drugs in the southern area of Metro Manila, particularly in Taguig City.
Around 500 grams of shabu valued at P3,450,000 was seized from the suspects.
They are now under the custody of PDEA, pending the filing of charges for conspiracy, selling, and possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office. By Edd Reyes
