THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that there will be 24-hour road works on major thoroughfares in Metro Manila this Holy Week.

The MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake the road works, as a significant number of motorists and travelers head to the provinces for the Holy Week break.

The road works will begin on Holy Wednesday (April 16 ) at 11 p.m. and continue round-the-clock until Monday (April 21) at 5 a.m.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected areas and take alternate routes, including the Mabuhay Lanes.

Earlier, the MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes said 2,542 field personnel will be in “full deployment” and 468 assets in major roads and transport hubs in the National Capital Region (NCR).
