23k Manila residents avail of free health, wellness services
The city government of Manila’s sustained medical missions, under the leadership of Manila Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna Pangan, and implemented by the Office of Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto, continue to draw crowds of Manila residents in need of help with their health and wellness concerns
On May 14, the Nieto’s program, once again provided health and wellness services such as medical checkup, minor surgery, basic blood and urine lab tests, free medicines and eyeglasses, facial treatments, haircuts, and massage to residents of Manila’s Zone 94 in the 6th District.
The 16th medical mission in both Lacuna-Pangan and Nieto’s first year in office, the health event registered 1,559 beneficiaries, bringing the total to 23,352 Manileños that have already benefited from the City Government’s sustained medical missions, through the Vice Mayor’s “Araw Nyo, Serbisyo ko” Lingkod Bayan program.
A part of a comprehensive health and wellness project was held in collaboration with the private sector. It was attended by 6th District Councilors Lou Veloso and Councilor Caloy Castañeda and had medical professionals and other volunteers from Asenso Manileño, the Manila Chinese Action Team and Raja Sulayman Rotary Club.
