2 women rescued from Chinese human trafficker

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Two women on Friday were rescued from a Chinese national who was a member of a human trafficking syndicate during a sting in Angeles City.

Angeles City police chief Col. Rommel Batangan said his men conducted an entrapment and rescue operation in Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City.

Arrested was Liu Lucao, a Chinese national residing in Angeles City.

The rescued women underwent a physical examination before they were turned over to the local Department of Social Welfare and Development Office.

Lucao, who is now detained at the Angeles City Police Station 2 jail cell, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9208 as amended by Republic Act 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon lauded the Angeles City police for the successful operation.
