2 rape suspects fall in Pangasinan, La Union
TWO men wanted for rape were hauled to jail by policemen from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-1 in separate manhunt this week, PRO-1 director Brigadier General Lou F. Evangelista said Saturday.
One of the suspects, an 18-year-old resident of Bugallon, Pangasinan, was arrested last Wednesday on the strength of a warrant of arrest for two counts of statutory rape issued by Judge Avelina Villegas- Rosario of the Lingayen Regional Trial Court Branch 14.
The 2nd suspect, a 39-year-old fisherman from Bangar, La Union, was arrested in Brgy. Central East 2 on the same day.
The second suspect was the subject of a warrant for statutory rape and lascivious conduct issued by Judge Marita Balloguing of the Balaoan, La Union RTC Branch 34, said the PRO-1 director.
