2 nabbed for illegal gun possession in QC
POLICEMEN arrested two suspects for illegal possession of firearms in an anti-criminality operation in Quezon City.
The Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) through its Station Commander, PLt.Col. Robert Amoranto, identified the suspects as Prospero Leonen Sabiniano II, 31, and resident of Brgy. Rosario Pasig City and Jayson Gumabon Caisa, 43, and a resident of Brgy. Pantok Meycuayan, Bulacan.
A report showed that suspects Sabiniano II and Caisa who were then on board a motorcycle without plate number were flagged down by the PS 10 operatives in an Oplan Sita on March 12, 2023 around 5:30 a.m. in front of Thomson Square Building, Tomas Morato Avenue corner Don A Roces Brgy. Obrero, Quezon City.
During spot checking, the suspects acted uneasy and suspicious. The operatives then made a body frisk upon the suspects wherein firearms were found to be in their possessions. In this instance, the operatives effected the arrest of the suspects.
Recovered from Sabiniano II was a Colt Caliber 32 revolver with four pieces of ammunition while a Caliber 45 Gold Cup Pistol with serial no. 481936 with four pieces of ammunition was recovered from Caisa. The motorcycle, black MIO SOL I and without plate number, used by the suspects was also confiscated by the operatives.
The arrested suspects are currently under police custody and they will be charged for Violation of R.A. 10591 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act as amended by R.A. 11766.
