2 most wanted for rape arrested in Batangas

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas – Two most wanted rape suspects were arrested by the authorities during the serving of warrants of arrest in separate operations in San Juan and Taysan towns, Batangas the other day.

According to a report to Batangas police director Col. Glicerio C. Cancilao by San Juan Municipal Police Station commander PMaj. Neil Christoper Gaspar, the felon was identified as Vincent Garcia y Visco, single, jobless, native of Batangas City and resident of Bgy. Sapangan, San Juan.

Garcia, 19, listed as No. 5 most wanted person in the provincial level, was arrested in his residence at 8:50 a.m. by combined personnel of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Batangas Police Provincial Office led by PLt. Rommel P. Magno, Batangas CPS, NISGSL, 403 AMC RMFB 4A, and 1st BPMFC under the direct supervision of Gaspar.

He was arrested on the validity of a warrant for qualified rape issued by Judge Cynthia Mariño Ricablanca of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 1 in Batangas City last August 5, 2021, with no recommended bail.

Meanwhile, Taysan town police chief, Capt. Rhyan L. Olave said around 9:10 p.m. in Bgy. Lake, joint forces of the Regional Intelligence Unit 4A-PIT Batangas led by PLt. Omar Honrade and 4THMP 1st Batangas Mobile Force Company led by PLT Guilbert Asuncion, and his men captured another wanted man for rape, the No. 6 most wanted in the provincial level, identified as Cleo De Mesa y Manato alias Sadam, 32, married, furniture maker, a native at Bgy. Tiquihan, Pola, Oriental Mindoro and resident of Bgy. Laquili, Taal.

The warrant of arrest dated September 22, 2021, was issued by Executive/Presiding Judge Rose Marie J. Manalang Austria of the RTC, Branch 87 in Rosario, Batangas.
