
2 Lucena suspects fall, yield P200K shabu, gun
LUCENA CITY — Police on Saturday arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized suspected shabu and a gun in a drug buy-bust at Bgy. Ibabang Dupay in this city.
Quezon police director Colonel Joel Villanueva said Rafael Sabinosa, alias Rap-Rap, 25, and Fernando Baez @Fernan, 40, both of said village were caught red handed with shabu, marked money and a gun when collared by operatives of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea.
Albacea said Sabinosa has been included in their drugs watchlist while Baez has a previous drug case.
During the operation carried out at 12:30 a.m., Albacea said the operatives seized 10.28 grams of shabu with street value of P209,712, a marked P500 bill and a loaded improvised handgun.
They were charged with violations of Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
In his message during the last command conference, Villanueva told his police and unit commanders to remain focused on their anti-illegal drug campaign and other anti-criminality drive despite their being active on enforcing health protocols along with local government units.
