2 female drug peddlers yield over P2.7M shabu

POLICE collared two women drug peddlers and seized from them over P2.7 million worth of shabu in a drug sting operation Thursday evening in Makati City.

In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said joint elements of SPD, Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Sub-Station-6 personnel, under the supervision of City Police Chief P/Col. Harold Depositar, arrested the suspects identified as Baby Madonna Vivero, 36, and Maria Sandra Esponilla, 36, in a buy-bust operation along Burgos Ext., Bgy. Poblacion at around 10:30 p.m.

Policemen seized from the suspects’ possession a total of 400 grams of shabu placed in a yellow eco bag with an estimated drug price of P2,720,000 and P500,000 marked money consisting of one genuine P1,000 bill and 499 pieces of boodle money.

Danao lauded the operatives of SPD, Makati SDEU led by P/Lt. Mark Anthony Farinas and Makati Police Sub-Station 6 led by P/Maj. John Patrick Magsalos for the successful conduct of the buy-bust operation.

“The relentless effort of Team NCRPO’s operatives on the fight against illegal drugs in the region is highly commendable. I also encourage the public to cooperate with the authorities by reporting or providing us information that could lead to the apprehension of those involved in criminal activities,” Danao said.
