2 dead in separate Batangas shootings

TWO men were declared dead by the authorities in separate incidents that took place in Batangas City and Calatagan town, Batangas last night.

According to Batangas City police, the victim of the shooting was identified as Cesar Bansil, while the suspect was identified as Eddie Saman Alamani.

On initial investigation around 6:45 p.m. in Sitio Badjaowan Bgy. Malitam, Batangas City, while Bansil talking and pacifying the suspect Eddie Saman Alamani regarding a vehicular mishap wherein the involved is the victim’s brother.

During the heat of the argument, police learned the suspect suddenly pulled a handgun of unknown caliber and shot the victim, and hit in the left part of the chest.

The suspect quickly fled on foot with the used gun in an unknown direction.

The residents immediately brought the victim in pool of blood to Batangas Medical Center for immediate treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dr. Lindon Balita.

In Calatagan town, police said a man was found dead lying on the ground with gunshot wounds in the head in Sitio Ilaya, Bgy. Biga, Calatagan, Batangas around 11:45 p.m.

Calatagan police investigators identified the victim as Paul Isaac Rellebe.

According to the witness, while Rellebe and his live-in partner had an argument about personal issues, the suspects, Joel Herjas, Rolly Herjas, and Abelardo Bahia suddenly appeared and at a gunpoint threatened them.

In that instance, his wife begged for their lives, however, suspect Joel Herjas allegedly decided that instead of shooting the two, pointed the gun at Rellebe and shot the victim, and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Further, the Calatagan police station conducted a follow-up operation to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects who are currently at large.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) technicians processed the scene.
