
10-wheeler rams 6 vehicles in Cavite, 5 hurt
ALFONSO, Cavite – Five were injured, one in critical condition after being hit by a 10-wheeler truck in Barangay Luksuhin Ibaba here, Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Investigator-on-case Police Staff Sergeant Boyet Soriano identified the driver/suspect as Ronaldo Santos, 43, male from Trece Martires City.
Based on the investigation of Alfonso PNP under chief P/Maj. Rommel Dimaala, a green Isuzu 10-wheeler truck loaded with 600 bags of cement driven by Santos – while traveling from Luksuhin Ilaya (south) going to Alfonso town proper (north), the braking system malfunctioned and eventually collided with 6 vehicles on the opposite side and damaged the entrance gate, fence of one gasoline station in the area.
One of the victims yet to be identified was brought to Tagaytay Medical Center, Tagaytay City. The driver of the truck is now under the custody of Alfonso Municipal Police Station facing reckless imprudence resulting from physical injuries and damage to properties.
The rest of the victims were identified as Charlie Delmundo, 65, resident of Brgy Pajo; Nomer Naling, of Luksuhin Ibaba; Romel Tirado, of Caloocan, with mild injury; and Gerald Martinez resident of Alfonso Cavite are now safe and in good condition after being rushed to hospital for medical attention.
