INTERNATIONAL vocal coach, world class soprano and entrepreneur Jade Riccio has been chosen as among “The 100 Women in Charge” for 2025 by a magazine at the Shangri-La Makati last March 31.

The awardee, known as the “Asia’s jewel” due to her superb vocal talent, is the chief executive officer of Riccio Music and Artistry (RMA), a music-voice school that nurtures aspiring singers and musicians.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised as one of Rising Tigers’ ‘100 Women in Charge’ as I represent not only myself but my many years of hard work–my company, RMA Studio Academy. My journey has always been about using my voice—not just in music, but in inspiring others to find their own. This award isn’t just a personal milestone; it’s a testament to the power of hard work, passion, perseverance and purpose. I share this recognition with every student, artist and dreamer I’ve had the privilege to guide. After all, true leadership isn’t about standing alone at the top—it’s about lifting others as you rise,” Riccio told People’s Tonight in a text message.

She was a 2024 Hall of Fame awardee, earned a slot in the 2024 Person to Watch: Women Who Made it in Music, Best Classical Performer in 2018 and 2020 and Best Female Crossover Performer in 2019 and 2022.

Among RMA’s most prominent students are MaiMai Entrata, Scarlet Belo, Zia Dantes, Rhian Ramos, Max Collins, Denise Laurel and hundreds more.

She is a staple in the classical music scene, especially among the high profile crowd due to her beautiful voice.

Her most memorable performances include singing for former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ 85th to 88th birthday.

The soprano, along with Arthur Espiritu and Mariel Ilusorio, is having a concert on April 2 at the Mira Nila Heritage House and Library at 26 Mariposa St., Brgy. Bagong Lipunan, Crame, QC beginning at 6:30 p.m. By ED VELASCO
