Welder shot during drinking spree in Ecija
GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija – A 28-year-old welder was shot and wounded during a drinking spree with his cousin on Monday night here.
The victim was having a drinking spree with his suspect cousin when an alleged heated altercation between them erupted, causing the latter to pull out a gun and fire it once, hitting the victim in the right leg.
After which, the suspect, a farm caretaker in Quezon town, fled on foot in the south direction while the victim was taken to the Dr. PJGMRMC for medical treatment.
Probers recovered a lone empty shell of unknown caliber at the crime scene.
Hot pursuit operations are still ongoing against the at-large suspect.
