Village watchman drowns in Batangas lake
A 47-YEAR-OLD village watchman drowned Tuesday at a lake in Sitio Tagbakin, Bgy. Halang, Lipa City.
Lipa City Police Case Investigator PSMS Arnold D. Delfin and PSSg. Glenn Allan A. Maandal identified the fatality as Edwino Manzanaris, married, Bgy. Marauoy watchman and a resident of District 4C in this village.
Around 2:10 p.m., a telephone call was received by PSSg. Charles L. Zaraspe, duty desk officer of Lipa CPS from Lipa City rescue team, about a drowning incident in Sitio Tagbakin.
Investigation showed the victim was riding a bamboo raft with his companions when he jumped into the water.
The victim’s companions became worried when he failed to surface and asked for help.
