
Vendor held for selling gun
CABANATUAN CITY – A 43-year-old vendor was arrested after allegedly selling a cal.45 pistol worth P20,000 during an entrapment operation shortly after Monday midnight in this city.
City police head Lt. Col. Renato C. Morales said the suspect is resident of 173 Villa Saturnina, Bgy. Maria Theresa, Cabanatuan City.
The operation was pulled off after the suspect agreed to a pay-off in exchange for the gun in Purok Malinis, Bgy. Barrera around 12:10 a.m. Monday.
Seized were a Colt cal.45 pistol, two magazine assembly containing five bullets, and the P1,000 marked and P15,000 boodle money used in the buy-bust operation.
“Sa halagang P20,0000 binebenta ng suspect ang baril. Hindi ito paltik at for verification ang license sa Firearm and Explosives Office ng PNP,” Morales told the Journal Group.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 and the Omnibus Election Code are being readied for inquest-filing against the suspect before the City Prosecutor’s Office .
