BALAYAN, Batangas – LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Thursday sought an end to the disruptive coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) lockdowns, vowing that she and her presidential tandem former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. will bring back jobs that were lost due to the pandemic.

“Tigilan ang lockdown o alert level. Bukas, sarado. Bukas, sarado ang mga negosyo. Ibalik natin ang mga negosyo. Ibalik natin ang mga trabaho na nawala dahil sa pandemya,” Duterte said during a rally on Thursday at the Calatagan Gymnasium in Calatagan, Batangas.

Duterte, Lakas-CMD chair, said she and Marcos will focus on bringing back jobs and businesses that have been lost and shut down due to the COVID-19 and the imposed lockdowns.

“Ang dami po sa ating mga kababayan ang nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa pandemya. Doon po muna tayo tututok, ibalik natin ang trabaho na mawala dahil sa pandemya,” Duterte, who was accompanied during the rally by House Majority Leader and Lakas-CMD President Martin G. Romualdez of the 1st District of Leyte, said.

The rally was attended by residents and local officials of Batangas led by Gov. Hermilando Mandanas, Vice Governor Mark Leviste and UniTeam senatorial candidates Robin Padilla and Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta of SAGIP party-list.
