VICE presidential bet Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte led the UniTeam in calling for unity among residents of the country’s capital — Manila.

In the campaign sortie, Mayor Sara said his running mate former Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is advocating the unity and patriotism among Filipinos as a key to progress and better governance.

Mayor Sara expressed gratitude to the people of Manila for the warm reception despite the city is a bailiwick of another presidential candidate.

She visited Golden Mosque in Quiapo and some places in Tondo, Manila where she got the support of the local communities.

She was accompanied by Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) mayoral aspirant Atty. Alex Lopez, senatorial candidates Herbert “Bistek” Bautista and Robin Padilla, a Muslim convert.

Padilla appealed to his Muslim brothers to vote for Marcos and Mayor Sara.

Accompanied by officials, including PDP-Laban Rep. Manny Lopez, former Manila Rep. Harry Angping and Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian, Mayor Sara went to Tondo district and visited its barangays to meet with the poor residents.

At the multi-purpose hall of Barangay 101 in Tondo, the vice presidential candidate met with varangay chairman William Ypon, a Davaoeño. She then went to Vitas, Tondo and visited a family and other residents there.

The presidential daughter held a “meet-and-greet” with residents of Happy Land, Gawad Kalinga, Helping Hand and Aroma at the covered court of Barangay 105, Tondo.

In all of her meetings with officials and residents of Manila, Duterte delivered the UniTeam’s message of hope, unity and patriotism.

The Davao City mayor capped her campaign in the country’s capital by meeting with the residents of Barangay 120 in Parola, Tondo, wherein she also thanked fire volunteers for stopping the fire that razed Parola Compound last month.

She then paid a courtesy visit to Tondo Church parish priest Father Estelito Villegas on Chacon St., Tondo, Manila.
