THE slate of Mayor Darel Dexter Uy, who is running for governor of Zamboanga del Norte, raised the hands of Trabaho Partylist second nominee Ninai Chavez during this month’s Kuyog Ta! Grand Proclamation Rally held at Dipolog City Boulevard.

Pro-labor reform Trabaho (no. 106 in the ballot) was notably the only partylist group seen on stage during the proclamation rally, as well as in the motorcade campaign earlier that day receiving the endorsement of the Team Kuyog Ta.

(You really gave us a warm welcome earlier during the motorcade campaign. I could not help but smile because you were greeting me with your smiles, too.) Kaya maraming, maraming salamat po!,” said Chavez, thanking the crowd at the rally.

For their group’s long-term advocacy for the working people and their families, the nominee shared they envisioned workers to be able to save money for the rainy days, putting an end to workers’ isang kahig, isang tuka dilemma.

In the words of Chavez, “Gusto naming makapag-ipon kayo. (We want to help you to have your own savings. Our goal is that you will never have to worry again where you will get money for emergency expenses. We are really hoping you will support 106 Trabaho.

A recent video shared by Uy on his Facebook page boasted aerial views of approximately thousands of people attending the grand proclamation rally.

A big thank you to all the people of Zamboanga del Norte for your warm support and active participation. You are our inspiration in our continuous efforts for real change and good governance),” wrote the Dipolog mayor.

Last month, Trabaho first nominee Atty. Johanne Bautista also joined the local government unit of Dipolog and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office in facilitating the release of 99 Olive Ridley sea turtle hatchlings into the sea along the same boulevard.
