Tingog Rep. Yedda K. Romualdez donates 4 wheelchairs to bedridden elderly in city
THE Tingog party-list group led by Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez has donated four brand new wheelchairs to underprivileged residents of Quezon City.
Romualdez, chairperson of the House committee on welfare of children, said her team will continue to find ways to help qualified beneficiaries to the best of their abilities.
“We want to help our beneficiaries improve their lives through independent mobility,” Romualdez said after the recipients of thr wheelchairs sought assistance from her office.
Romualdez said the wheelchairs will also help persons with disabilities (PWDs) possibly gain back employment opportunities and be given equal participation in life.
In the second district of Quezon City, the Tingog party-list group of Romualdez and Tingog 2nd nominee and national president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) President Jude Acidre in partnership with Quezon City Rep. Precious Castelo, Quezon City Councilor Winnie Castelo, Barangay Batasan Hills chairman Jojo Abad, and the Department of Health (DoH) turned over a wheelchair to Evelyn Pangilinan for her mother, Remedios Lizada.
The Tingog team also donated three wheelchairs to Aljon F. Corillo, Arthur Montilla and Juanito R. Balaba at Jordan Plains in the 5th District of Quezon City through Councilor PM Vargas and Rep. Alfred Vargas.
